Orms
WFC worked tirelessly to complete their latest office project, Orms.
The architecture practice Orms has moved to a new headquarters at 160 Old Street. John McRae, director of Orms, said: “The move into a new studio and the appointment of new directors marks a moment of maturity for Orms.
The new site is a former Royal Mail sorting office that the practice converted into a contemporary office space in 2018. Designed in collaboration with Tutto Bene Studio and workplace consultant Victoria Stares, the new office features a variety of workspaces, sustainable material use, and views across London.
The project was completed alongside Abakus Consulting and Dragonfly Projects to create an amazing space, the work involved a strip out and alteration of existing CAT B offices to suit a new CAT B layout. The CAT B fit-out to level 6, including the creation of meeting rooms, kitchen, tea point, town hall area and collaboration areas, as well as the fit-out to external terraces.
“I want to thank WFC for their excellent management of the project. Ever present and ever pro-active to seek solutions and push the project forwards at all times. The WFC site, commercial and design team were aligned from the get go, which enabled the project to succeed. WFC also happily assisted with client direct package coordination and installation, going above and beyond, to ensure that the full picture of the project was delivered for Orms. As a PM, I was grateful to have such competent support, in order to deliver on the client’s requirements. I would happily recommend WFC for any refurbishment and fit out project and look forward to working together with them again in the future.” Freddie Edwards, Dragonfly Project
