Modern Slavery And Human Trafficking Policy 2022
WFC Contracting Limited (WFC) is an Interior Fit-out Contractor specialising in the leisure industry. We operate from our head office in Newton Abbot, Devon and manage sites across the UK.
WFC acknowledges responsibility to the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and will ensure transparency within the organisation and with suppliers of goods and services to the organisation.
Our Commitment
We are committed to ensuring that there is no modern slavery or human trafficking in our supply chains or in any part of our business. Our Anti-Slavery Policy reflects our commitment to acting ethically and with integrity in all our business relationships and to implementing and enforcing effective systems and controls to ensure slavery and human trafficking is not taking place anywhere in our business and in our supply chains.
Due Diligence
As part of the company’s due diligence processes into slavery and human trafficking, our supplier approval process will incorporate a review of the controls undertaken by the supplier. Imported goods from sources outside of the UK are potentially more at risk for slavery/human trafficking issues. The level of management control required for these sources will be continually monitored.
WFC will not support or deal with any business knowingly involved in slavery or human trafficking.
Risk Assessment
An on-going part of our commitment is to identify and mitigate against risks presented by modern slavery and human trafficking, we have nominated our directors and senior management to:
- Identify inappropriate employment practices.
- Identify and assess other potential risk areas.
- Mitigate the risk of slavery and human trafficking occurring.
- Monitor Potential risk areas.
Measuring Effectiveness
To ensure the effectiveness of our approach to ensuring compliance with the MSA we assess our suppliers on a regular basis. This allows us to adopt a risk-assessed approach to ensure we devote most attention to the areas of greatest risk.
