Sushi Samba Covent Garden
Our 2nd project with Sushi Samba took us to Covent Garden where we undertook a fit-out of a vacated shell to form a new restaurant. The project journey took a few twists and turns due to challenges with planning, budget and changes to the client’s professional team, but the finished product is spectacular.
‘We were lucky to first work with WFC on a relatively small fast casual restaurant project in London’s Haymarket. The quality, attention to detail, ease of working and collaborative approach meant that for our next and significant opening – a new Sushi Samba in the middle of Covent Garden – WFC were our first and only choice.
We first engaged WFC at the beginning of the design process to work closely with our interior design and architect team. Rather than pursue the conventional route of drawing pack and tender, we worked closely with WFC and their supply chain to troubleshoot design intent and to tender individual construction packages. The outcome of this was threefold, we saved time, we were secure in the knowledge that these items could be built and we knew we were getting the best possible price for the quality we were trying to achieve.
The outcome of this process has been nothing but positive. WFC became a true partner and friend of the company. The quality of the fit out and the skill and attention to detail of the specialist sub-contractors who contributed to the build has helped create a very successful restaurant, both experientially and commercially.
Sushi Samba wouldn’t contemplate any other main contractor for projects within the United Kingdom’.
