Our association with Cameron Mackintosh Theatres goes back to 1993 when we undertook a refurbishment of the Prince Edward Theatre. The relationship was re-established ten years later when we successfully tendered for the works to the Prince of Wales Theatre.
The building was stripped out, major structural alterations undertaken and all areas completely refurbished. This included new staircases, new public bars, new toilets and a new look to the auditorium as well as artist and staff areas and restoration of the external stonework.
Further details of the refurbishment can be found at www.delfontmackintosh.co.uk/theatres/prince-of-wales/redevelopment.php.
The theatre was reopened by the Prince of Wales in May 2004.
